As is probably obvious, this website was made ages ago. A new website in all of its HTML5 glory and new content coming soon!This is a website where you can view my online portfolio of me, Alexander O'Mara. On this website I showcase the various graphics, design, programming, and art projects I have created. This website is also a proof-of-concept hybrid XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Flash (with PHP and MySQL in the background) design that will even work on computers without Flash and JavaScript and also makes it search-engine friendly. About Me
I am Alexander O'Mara. I am a designer, coder, and artist specializing in digital art. I create everything from websites to games to images to programs. Unlike most designers, I am also a coder, which gives me the capability to code the websites and games that I design, seeing it from start to finish.
Design Experience
I have been making websites since 2009. Before then and to this day I have been creating custom LEGO model designs. My designs have won several LEGO contests. In 2005 I entered the first ever Junior Master Model Builder Competition at LEGOLAND California. I first won the monthly competition for the month of May with my model of a Mother's Day cake. I was then invited back to compete in the Ultimate Build Off where I won with my model of Skipper School. Part of my prize included spending the day with a Master Model Builder (a LEGO designer). Later, I also won the BrickMaster Landmark Building Challenge in the LEGO Magazine with my model of St. Basil's Cathedral.
Six of my art creations were accepted and displayed during the 2011 Onondaga Community College Student Art Show. My Transparency in 3 Dimensions won first place for color theory.
I've designed everything from websites, to posters, to images, to games, to sculptures, to drawings.
