These are some of the multimedia projects I have created, everything from simple animations to interactive Flash games. Click the images to view the content.
Deconstruct
Deconstruct is a high-powered Flash game where the object is to use the paddle to keep the ball in the air and destroy all of the tiles, increasing your score. The game is made completely of vector graphics and controlled completely by ActionScript without any timeline.
The Challenge: Create an impressive project in Flash.
The Solution: A high-powered, complex Flash game. Thousands of lines of ActionScript code control everything.
Lip Sync Animation
A tricky feat in animation, this project was to lip sync an audio file to a Flash animation. With my Illustrator self portrait, I made additional mouth positions, and animated a lip sync with my own voice.
The Challenge: Lip sync an audio file to an animation.
The Solution: An Illustrator graphic imported to Flash with multiple mouth positions make for a highly detailed animation. Additional features like a speak button and blinking eyes add to the effect.
Thanksgiving E-Card
This project is an interactive Flash e-card for Thanksgiving. Features the ability for views to customize the message for whoever they wish to send it to.
The Challenge: Create a customizable interactive Thanksgiving e-card.
The Solution: A PHP URL parser and encoder allow users to create links to the card that contain their own personalized message. The card then parses the URL and ActionScript inside the Flash e-card show the viewer their custom message.
Bouncing Ball Animation
The standard test of any animator, making a ball bounce in animation is trickier than it looks.
The Challenge: Animate a bouncing ball in Flash.
The Solution: Classic Tweening makes the ball and scenery move, while ActionScript controls the shadow, stretch, and sound effects.
Animation Game
This is an interactive game centered on animation. This game Andrew Lyons and I created together.
The Challenge: Create an animation project in Flash.
The Solution: A hybrid of ActionScript and traditional animation methods create an animated role-playing game.
Falling Gears Game
This is an interactive game where the objective is to survive the falling gears for 30 seconds.
The Challenge: Create an interactive project in Flash.
The Solution: ActionScript powered timers, loops, and event listeners make this game function smoothly and efficiently.
Streaming MP3 Player
This MP3 player has all the features you would expect from a Flash audio player. A toggling button to play and pause the music with a stop button to send it back to the beginning. A seek bar and timer lets you go to certain sections of the song. Previous and next song buttons let you skip to other sounds in the XML playlist. (All MP3 files used are public domain.)

Ashley O'Mara Graduation Announcement
An animated graduation announcement for Le Moyne College graduate, Ashley O'Mara.
The Challenge: Create a digital graduation announcement for Le Moyne College graduate Ashley O'Mara.
The Solution: A personalized Flash animation makes for a far more personal and interesting presentation than the generic cards the college produced. This project incorporates both Photoshop and Flash work including photo rendering and retouching, 3D transformation effects, and ActionScript.

Text Animation
This Flash animation is about the number 42.
The Challenge: Create a text-based animation in Flash.
The Solution: The number 42 transformed and re-colored to represent the lines of text in a quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
