Storyboard and execute an original short 3D animation, incorporating a character using smooth skin rigging.
A humerus story about a hippie mushroom who farms mushrooms.
The character was modeled and rigged in Maya 2012 using the powerful new skin binding tools. Sculpting and texture painting was done in Mudbox 2012 and displacement maps were exported back to Maya for rendering. Facial expressions were added using blend shapes. The animation was rendered out using Mental Ray and sound effects and voices were compiled using Adobe Audition. This animation was completed in March 2012 after only a few short months under very tight deadlines.
